Manjari Sharma

The difference between a snapshot and a portrait cannot be said in one word, because there are many differences. For one, a snapshot is an "in the moment thing". A portrait on the other hand is much more sensual, and much more connected. Manjari Sharma uses water in many of her images and white clothes or no clothes. I think this shows the purity and soul in her models that shes trying to portray.

strobe.

When i took this shot i took it with the intension of making it about some of the arts at school and also making it diverse.
i tried to capture the light mostly on Tashia because she was the most dark of the group, and therefore needed the most light. I think that this picture is balanced with the two models on the right along with the one model and the cello on the left. I think i could have done a better job with this, but i am going to experiment with other types of placements and angles of the models.
